Hey Arlen, Shut Up

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter is a typical northeast RINO who makes average Republicans scratch their heads. What makes him most troubling, however, is how he uses his position as the powerful Senate Judiciary chair as a bully-pulpit to comment on almost anything or to generally gum up the work of Congress.

As the Senate's Cliff Claven, Arlen knows a little bit about everything and is gonna share it with you whether you ask or not.

June 11th, 2006: Arlen as terrorist sympathizer calls for constutionally guaranteed speedy trials, usually reserved for so-called US citizens, for terror suspects held at Guantanamo Bay.

June 11th, 2006: Arlen as war crimes judge and jury injects politics into the Marines-Haditha investigation by suggesting a Senate hearing into the matter even before the investigation on the ground is complete and charges, if any, are filed.

June 10th, 2006: Arlen as Commander-in-Chief trying to thwart White House efforts to protect Americans with NSA foreign eavesdropping program.

June 9th 2006: Arlen as budget writer holds up war-funding bill over health and education funding issues.

June 7th 2006: Arlen as Senator for the great state of Mexico inserts provision, on May 25th, into US Senate immigration bill forcing consultation with Mexican government before US may proceed to build border wall on its own territory.
